V holds up better than its 1983 laser budget has any right to: a sharp, human, uncomfortably relevant fascism allegory wrapped in lizard-people pulp. Part one soars, part two wobbles, but the whole thing still proves that nothing says “timeless sci-f... more

Apple TV may be chasing the prestige-TV crown that HBO once owned, but the big question is whether that model can work in streaming when even HBO muddied the waters. Meanwhile, Amazon MGM may be looking for a new home for its Sam Altman biopic, Insta... more

5 star for my childhood TV memories.
I have to be honest, I am down for almost any Tom Merritt podcast. He is the best at what he does and so knowledgeable. This podcast is a little more entertainment focused and him and Brian are great together. They pick fun topics all about streaming and I love it. I don’t really agree with Brian most of the time on his interest when it comes to television and movies, but I love the opinions and I love the back-and-forth. Bryce add that third person tie-breaking opinion.
I like Brushwood and Merritt, but I cannot relate to the content. Last theater movie I watched was Battle of 5 Armies. Last TV series was Lidia's Italian Cooking.
There is nothing on TV or the theater I am truly interested in. I've even given up on Star Trek after watching all of the TV series from Next Gen forward.
If you like escapist entertainment, you'll like this podcast.
Original review was 4? years ago. Still relevant and interesting in 2020.
I love this show it helps me know what it is I need from streaming

A tech-forward show that analyzes how people watch entertainment across devices and platforms, with deep dives into cord-cutting, streaming strategies, and the media business. Episodes repeatedly tackle shifting distribution models, brand strategies, and future formats, often pairing practical viewing tips with spirited debates between two hosts who mix industry insight with humorous banter. A standout trait is the long-running “full experience” format that stitches together crossovers, nostalgia, and audience participation, making it a likely go-to for listeners who want both entertainment news and thoughtful commentary on how we consume media.
Noteworthy elements include in-depth discussions of platform ecosystems (streaming, ads, premiu... more
