Where would my family be without Connected Families? We needed these truths. We need these truths. We need this grace and encouragement as parents. I have followed Connected Families blog and podcast for several years now. I am homeschooling two active, spirited, sensitive and possibly neurodivergent kids, one of whom is entering the tween years. I have no doubt that if I had not found the wisdom and balanced teaching shared by this ministry, I would have resigned myself to repeating the fear and force based “discipline” of my own generation. Stacy, you said this episode is messed up, but I actually listened twice because it’s so comforting and important to know that I’m not alone.
So grateful to God for leading my to this resource. They answer so many questions I have as a parent from a sound biblical perspective. But the thing that sets Connected Families apart is that they take neuroscience into account and this is so key for me. We need to parent in a way that recognizes we are dealing with underdeveloped frontal lobes and underdeveloped means of nervous system regulation. Thankful to this group for their work.
Simply refreshing every time. Connected Families has completely changed the trajectory of our family. Beyond thankful.
