I’m not sure how I found this podcast but it’s become one of my go to podcasts. It’s not just about conflict but it’s helped me to have more emotionally aware conversations at work and at home and I feel like it’s improved my EQ. Being from the UK, I enjoy his gentle Aussie tone, even if he does insist on pronouncing the word “data” as “daah-tarr”. Check it out!

  • Incredibly useful!

Simon has loads of experience and expertise that he shares in bite sized, applicable, segments. I have gone out of my way to avoid conflict at all costs throughout my life, it terrifies me. But as a leader I know how critical it is to lean into conflict to support staff and create healthy teams. Simon’s work has help me beyond measure! Imagine if we could all learn to lean in into conflict. Side note: his grounded, calming voice and personality just adds a sense of needed reassurance and I’ve v... more

  • I love this podcast!

As someone new to a leadership role, I’ve found it hard to negotiate new working relationships and this show is perfect for that! So much so, that I send them to my colleagues who benefit from Simon’s wise advice! It’s also down-to-earth and practical! My go-to morning listen when I’ve had a day that needs some reflection! Recommend it!

  • Excellent Practical Advice

I appreciate that his advice is not just “do X or Y” but also he helps with mindsets, empathy, and most importantly, keeping in mind the larger goal of what you’re trying to achieve. It’s like a practical guide to grace using concrete steps and sample language.

I still have a lot of listening to do (to this podcast and IRL!) but I am hopeful he will speak to ways to tweak one’s own attitude and to identify and mend one’s own bad habits that might be making life harder than it needs to be. I es... more
