高市首相の就任、NY市長選でのマムダニ氏の当選、イギリスの緑の党の躍進など、世界各国の政界でさまざまな変化が起きた数週間。
普段SNSでニュースを目にすることも多い2人ですが、新聞やオルタナティブメディアでの報道内容も取り入れながら、最近のニュースについて感じた違和感や希望について話します。
引き続き心理学・認知科学の視点を挟みながら、政治的分断の根っこにある人間の特性や、それから距離を置くための方法について話します。
なかなか分かり合えない他者だけでなく、私たち自身の持つバイアスについても意識できたように思います。

7月に行われた参議院選挙で参政党が大きく議席を伸ばしたことが話題になりました。アメリカのトランプ政権を筆頭に世界各国で見られる政治の右傾化やポピュリズムの台頭に危機感が高まるなか、前編と後編にわたって「右派・左派の分断」をテーマに取り上げます。
前編では書籍『みんな政治でバカになる』や『社会はなぜ左と右に分かれるのか』などに触れながら、なぜ二極化した対立が生まれるのか？左派に比べて右派のほうが民衆を盛り上げやすいのはなぜか？などについて考えます。
