In November of 2022 I was pregnant with my son, who knew a side effect of pregnancy would be multiple panic attacks a day? Not me. This podcast was one of the only things I could listen to and not end up in a panic. Thank you to Ma for her soothing voice, her past shenanigans, and her wisdom. I think of her as my own Ma now. 🫶
These are the best stories. Strong, tender and with an edge. I’ve boiled with anger listening to the racism, and laughed out loud when she overturns it, bends the world to stride through it.
Kahentinetha is such a character!
These stories are entertaining, sobering and educational for this privileged and evolving cis white male. Highly recommend!
This is so important. The stories speak about, speak to, speak against the loud stories of colonialism. To listen to these stories as I walk on stolen Muskogee/Creek land, to hear both the connections to larger issues facing Indigenous communities while getting the specific personal, sometimes hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking, stories of you and your Ma is an absolute privilege.
