Great information and stories
…or at least I thought I did. Tyler Mahan Coe changed all of that with this podcast. The word “masterful” seems to pop up a lot in reviews for this podcasts but only because no synonym seems appropriate or does it justice. I have listened to both seasons 5+ times. With zero hyperbole Cocaine & Rhinestones is an American classic and Coe an American treasure.

This is one of two of my favorite podcasts of all time. I recommend it to everyone. It’s so well researched. And the care put into the separate threads in the beginning, and how they fit into the entire narrative, is masterful. I’ve listened multiple times and get things I’ve missed each time.
The narrator sounds way too much like AI, to get invested emotionally. I guess I’m just weird though…
Interesting content. Tone of voice and way he speaks is too jarring. Bit like an angry robot. Felt like he’s furious with Tammy Wynette. Not sure why
