I came for the bonding and stayed for the yeehaww!
I grew up in Carson City Nevada and have been to the ponderosa ranch several times as a kid. I love it when you talk about the area and I’m always saying things out loud when you get it a little wrong. This show rules. Thank you for creating this show and keep it up. YEEEEEEEEEEHHHAAAAWWWWW!!!!!!
I love this podcast however its a bit too politically correct surrounding people of other creeds, nationalities, ethic groups etc. Also it has too many female perspectives.
Andy Daly has become one of my sought out entertainers and this podcast showcases his infectious genius. Matt, Amy and guests are a gawd damn treat! Drives my girlfriend insane~ perhaps she will stand to close horse or an injun sometime soon.
Answer: probably because Andy Daly, Matt Gourley, and Lily Sullivan are friggin’ DELIGHTFUL in everything they do. It was weird how I got here. A fast-paced, affectionate deep-dive show that reconsiders classic TV by pairing hosts' improvised banter with guest perspectives. Episodes blend nostalgia, pop-culture analysis, and playful meta-humor about Bonanza-era storytelling, production quirks, and representation, often puncturing dated tropes with modern insights. Notable strengths include a loose, chaotic energy, strong chemistry among hosts, and frequent celebrity and comedian guests that amplify both satire and genuine discussion. The format seems well-suited for listeners who enjoy comedy, pop-culture history, and unconventional panel dynamics, especially fans of Westerns or retro TV with a humorous lens.
