  • Reliable source of Armenian news

Good source of Armenian news. I tune in to listen to Eric Hacopian and Georgi Derluguian. Very sound and logical analysis without empty nationalist chest-pounding. I am happy they added podcast episodes in Russian and English for those who don’t speak Armenian. Keep it up!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Armenia Votes 2026: Why Pashinyan's Win Falls Short
Q: Why didn't the pro-Western bloc unite, and what are the implications for future elections?
Different personalities and constituencies among potential Western-aligned candidates prevented a unified front, allowing the ruling party to capitalize on a divided opposition. This fragmentation suggests future elections may continue to hinge on coalition-building and leadership consolidation rather than broad, cross-party alignment.
Armenia Votes 2026: Why Pashinyan's Win Falls Short
Q: Was Pashinyan's post-results press conference at 2 a.m. problematic for the perception of the process?
Yes, it was seen by critics as an aggressive move that could be interpreted as declaring victory before full counts were in, potentially undermining trust in the electoral process even though the vote itself wasn't overturned.
Armenia Votes 2026: Why Pashinyan's Win Falls Short
Q: What explains the exceptionally high turnout, and what does it imply about the electorate?
The turnout appears to reflect a broad mobilization beyond traditional bases, driven by discontent with prior rhetoric and a desire for change, as well as a reaction to the campaign dynamics. It signals a more engaged electorate that may evaluate performance more critically, rather than simply voting along fixed loyalties.
Bringing energy independence to Armenia’s rural regions
Q: What kind of concrete results have you seen so far in the pilot regions?
Over the past two years, more than 700 vulnerable households received energy-efficient wood stoves and insulation improvements, with indoor air quality and heating conditions improving significantly.
Bringing energy independence to Armenia’s rural regions
Q: Can you describe the core aim of SE4 Resilience and who benefits the most?
The project aims to reduce fossil fuel use by promoting renewables and energy efficiency, benefiting rural households, communities, and local businesses, especially those with limited access to energy.
