  • STOP THE “YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE” PODCAST INSERTIONS!!!!!

I enjoy the podcast although I do wish it had more diversity of voices across the political spectrum as it leans very progressive (I get it, it’s Denver). That said, I appreciate that the show keeps me clued in to what’s going on in the city.

3 stars for adding unrelated podcasts to its feed via the “YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE” feature. When multiple podcasts do this it makes my playlists useless with auto playing 50% of podcasts I’m not subscribed to, nor have any interest in. STOP IT!!!! NO, I don’... more

  • Paul seems to be kind of a centrist loser, but they do have fantastic guests. I just cringe every time Paul pulls back to be the "devil's advocate" position.

  • The worst

If you love listening to white progressives lecture you about all the causes, this is your show. Bree sighs, a lot, to really really emphasize how compassionate she is. Unfortunately her brain is powered by a hamster wheel so she only knows the buzzwords like “no human is illegal on stolen land.” Oh and she’s a big fan of diners and Betty bop. So listen in as they talk about progressive policies, as if they haven’t failed and ruined every great American city, while they bring on a barrage of gue... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A New LoDo Let-Out Fix? Plus, REI Boycott Beef and Denver's Surprising Smell Ranking
Q: Tell me about the let-out changes and how they would affect venues' operations.
One of the biggest differences is that venues could continue operating after liquor hours stop, essentially extending activity to 4 a.m. as long as alcohol service ends at 2 a.m., which could help stagger departures and reduce chaotic, simultaneous exiting.
Who is Really Winning the Scooter Wars? Plus, a 30-Year Incumbent is On the Hot Seat
Q: What are the key policy contrasts between Melat and DeGette, and how might that affect the primary outcome?
Melat presents a more progressive, anti-establishment approach, aligns with Medicare for All and calls out perceived establishment positions, while DeGette highlights healthcare expansions and reproductive rights as her signature issues, creating a competition over authenticity, leadership style, and bringing change to the district.
Who is Really Winning the Scooter Wars? Plus, a 30-Year Incumbent is On the Hot Seat
Q: Why did Melat Kiros choose to run for Congress in this district, and what challenges did she face in mobilizing support?
Melat frames her candidacy as a newcomer who wants to shake up establishment politics, emphasizing her background and her stance against incumbency, while focusing on her assembly win as evidence of grassroots momentum; the discussion also touches on fundraising and delegate support as indicators of viability.
'Your City Could Be Better': Meet Nashville's Rogue Bench Builders — Presented By City Cast Denver
Q: Hello, Marie, what do these benches look like and do they make the streetscape of Nashville seem more or less organized and better?
Marie describes the benches as simple wooden structures with a slight lean, painted in bright colors and featuring art, designed for comfort and accessibility, and emphasizes how they make the streets nicer and more usable, especially for the unhoused and everyday neighbors.
Deep Lore Behind Idaho Springs’ New Gondola, Another Downtown Closure, and Wacky Weather Wardrobe Essentials
Q: What are the potential challenges the project might face?
