  • STOP THE “YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE” PODCAST INSERTIONS!!!!!

I enjoy the podcast although I do wish it had more diversity of voices across the political spectrum as it leans very progressive (I get it, it’s Denver). That said, I appreciate that the show keeps me clued in to what’s going on in the city.

3 stars for adding unrelated podcasts to its feed via the “YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE” feature. When multiple podcasts do this it makes my playlists useless with auto playing 50% of podcasts I’m not subscribed to, nor have any interest in. STOP IT!!!! NO, I don’... more

  • Paul seems to be kind of a centrist loser, but they do have fantastic guests. I just cringe every time Paul pulls back to be the "devil's advocate" position.

  • The worst

If you love listening to white progressives lecture you about all the causes, this is your show. Bree sighs, a lot, to really really emphasize how compassionate she is. Unfortunately her brain is powered by a hamster wheel so she only knows the buzzwords like “no human is illegal on stolen land.” Oh and she’s a big fan of diners and Betty bop. So listen in as they talk about progressive policies, as if they haven’t failed and ruined every great American city, while they bring on a barrage of gue... more

Water in the cooler hours, prefer hand watering or drip systems over sprinklers, use rain barrels, and consider Oyas to minimize evaporation while keeping plants hydrated.
Gardening Tips for Denver's Drought Restricted Summer
Q: How do you keep squirrels from digging up and eating bulbs with aggressive populations in urban yards?
Use structural defenses like chicken wire early in the season, consider natural deterrents such as onion/allium compounds, and explore pepper-based deterrents or hot sauce sprays as last-resort options, while also incorporating plants that attract predators and using mulch to deter digging.
Gardening Tips for Denver's Drought Restricted Summer
Q: I need ideas to encourage my wisteria to grow up and cover the pergola before we fry up on our patio. What should I do first?
Tie in new growth and train branches along the structure every year, prune to encourage new growth, and untie and reset at the end of the season to promote a guided, supported climb.
How Will Lakewood Vote on Density? And What Will It Mean for Casa Bonita?
Q: Why would keeping the new zoning code be best for Casa Bonita?
Keeping the code would support frontline workers by enabling affordable housing options nearby, reducing commutes, and sustaining a walkable, sustainable Lakewood that benefits employers like Casa Bonita.
How Will Lakewood Vote on Density? And What Will It Mean for Casa Bonita?
Q: So, you want to keep the new Lakewood zoning code that you helped push into effect last year. Why do you want to keep it?
The code is beneficial because it creates more housing options, particularly missing middle housing, and was developed with extensive community input; it aims to balance affordability with neighborhood character.
