  • Epstein

Jamie, they were not women… they were children/girls when they were abused! That language is part of the problem! They were CHILDREN!

  • Addicted

I first learned of this podcast when Christiane went on Jon Stewart’s one. Curiosity peaked, I started listening; the combined expertise of both her & Jamie just radiates through the speakers. I was also lucky enough to get my question answered the very first time I submitted one. They speak about foreign policy with compassion & relating it back to the people affected, not just facts & figures. Both eminently likeable people to listen to, their humanity is a real draw.

  • Enjoy it

I enjoy listening to the exes and their chemistry. I wait for the day Christiane doesn’t interrupt Jamie and it just never happens. Cannot resist. Also never misses a chance to trash Israel no matter what. That’s been for her entire career. Jamie, why do you let her?

Not everything she says is the gospel tho she thinks it is. You can still be a feminist & not be so very competitive all the time. Jeez.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Q&A: Trump's mental health, Epstein files accountability & Israel's death penalty
Q: What are your thoughts on Israel introducing a death-penalty law for Palestinians involved in October 7 attacks, and can such measures be justified?
The move reflects a controversial stance within a broader debate about justice in a war context; while some argue it could be justified as a response to atrocity, others worry it escalates tensions and undermines prospects for long-term peace, highlighting the difficulty of balancing security and humanitarian concerns in occupied territories.
Q&A: Trump's mental health, Epstein files accountability & Israel's death penalty
Q: With Epstein's files public, why does accountability for powerful individuals seem so limited, and why do many women and children still feel unprotected by institutions?
Accountability is uneven and often selective, with a pattern of focusing on sensational angles rather than systemic reform; the media has an important role in digging into deeper layers of complicity and ensuring survivors' voices are centered, rather than letting the conversation drift to who knew whom.
Q&A: Trump's mental health, Epstein files accountability & Israel's death penalty
Q: How worried do you think we should all be about the president's mental faculties, given how erratic his behavior has become?
We should be cautious and recognize that claims about mental fitness are delicate; three points stand out: the need to distinguish between public performance and clinical diagnosis, the impact of erratic posts on policy, and the importance of how institutions and advisors respond to potential risks rather than attributing it to personal pathology alone.
Q&A: The Pope’s AI warning, Iran at the World Cup & is Russia still meddling in US politics?
Q: Did Russia interfere in 2016 and is it still meddling today?
Yes, Russia interfered in 2016 by hacking and releasing emails; the ongoing concern is broad disinformation campaigns designed to polarize and erode trust in institutions, a strategy that persists.
Q&A: The Pope’s AI warning, Iran at the World Cup & is Russia still meddling in US politics?
Q: Will Iran's World Cup hosting arrangement lead to diplomatic points or disruptions given the ongoing conflict?
While disruptions are possible, the hosts and participants hope the games proceed and sports can serve as a bridge, though they acknowledge political tensions and the risk of politicization.
