  • Israeli UN Ambassador, Danny Danon

Amanpour delivered a masterclass of journalism: showing the highest degree of respect, while not allowing opaque dishonesty overlooked. I was screaming into my headphones, she asked literally every question that I wanted answers for. I still don’t REALLY know those answers—he never gave a direct response (but maybe that’s the answer).

MY POINT: this the best-of-best journalist. Bravo.. and thank you.

  • Stick with Amanpour!!

Christiane is the only person from CNN whose podcasts I still listen to for news. She serves it up intelligently with integrity and without an agenda.

  • Please Don’t Interrupt

If Christiane could somehow learn to NOT interrupt important guests like David Petraeus, then I would be able to hear what Mr. Petraeus has to say, in response to her pointed questions. Rather than hearing incessant, indignant, and disrespectful interruptions from Ms. Amanpour. Let the man speak !! That is the purpose of the interview for God’s sack! Learn some respect!

    Just my observation

Greetings, Christian. I enjoyed a segment of your recent program on Elon Musk's political views and interference in other nations' elections through his “X” media. I do, however, wish you would address the influence of AIPAC on elections in the free world, particularly in England and the USA. A review of Jimmy Carter's dated interviews may illuminate your listeners. As always, I view your program as the best, most informative, and enlightening.

    Kind Regards

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A War With No Exit Strategy?
Q: What does Europe need to do to fill this gap?
Kuleba emphasizes closer coordination with European partners, maintaining pressure on Western allies to sustain weapons and security guarantees for Ukraine, and ensuring a sustained peace process that addresses security concerns.
Former US Defense Expert on Iran War
Q: What are the risks and feasibility of a high-profile extraction operation for highly enriched uranium, given past precedents like the Bin Laden raid?
Such an operation is extremely risky, would require extensive planning, and is unlikely to be quick; past raids show the complexity and potential unintended consequences of unilateral actions in a volatile theater.
Former US Defense Expert on Iran War
Q: If Iran is leveraging the Strait of Hormuz, what are the realistic military or diplomatic options to open the straits without triggering a broader war?
Blockading the straits could be catastrophic and risky; a more feasible approach is to encourage a multilateral mechanism that allows shipping while providing sanctions relief terms, effectively turning leverage into a negotiated settlement rather than battlefield dominance.
Former US Defense Expert on Iran War
Q: Let's start with this mixed messaging out of Washington. How would you interpret the framing of a 'new and reasonable regime' and its implications for policy?
The frame reflects competing pressures between wanting a ceasefire and the leverage Iran gains from controlling critical chokepoints; the real test is whether diplomacy can translate into a credible path to ending hostilities without yielding unacceptable concessions.
Iran War Exacerbates Energy Crisis
Q: What is going to change this energy crisis in the long term?
A combination of rapid deployment of renewable energy, decreased costs of sun and wind technologies, and political will to move away from fossil fuels, despite entrenched interests and short-term economic pressures.
