  • Excellent, except…

The music hype is repetitive and simply junk-noise. Please calm down. The news doesn’t need any hype-push today. The chaos and crises are loud enough in text as spoken by your fine reporters. All of you: stellar reporting.

  • Israeli UN Ambassador, Danny Danon

Amanpour delivered a masterclass of journalism: showing the highest degree of respect, while not allowing opaque dishonesty overlooked. I was screaming into my headphones, she asked literally every question that I wanted answers for. I still don’t REALLY know those answers—he never gave a direct response (but maybe that’s the answer).

MY POINT: this the best-of-best journalist. Bravo.. and thank you.

  • Stick with Amanpour!!

Christiane is the only person from CNN whose podcasts I still listen to for news. She serves it up intelligently with integrity and without an agenda.

  • Please Don’t Interrupt

If Christiane could somehow learn to NOT interrupt important guests like David Petraeus, then I would be able to hear what Mr. Petraeus has to say, in response to her pointed questions. Rather than hearing incessant, indignant, and disrespectful interruptions from Ms. Amanpour. Let the man speak !! That is the purpose of the interview for God’s sack! Learn some respect!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Iran Suspends Peace Talks
Q: What is the current status of the talks with the United States and how does the Tehran stance affect regional diplomacy?
The hosts discuss that Iran suspended talks as a reaction to Israeli escalation in Lebanon, tying the diplomatic process to broader regional dynamics and signaling a fragile path toward any ceasefire.
US Hosts Israel-Lebanon Talks
Q: Is the current ceasefire more than just a namesake agreement, or is fighting continuing regardless?
The guest argues that the ceasefire is largely symbolic at this point, with actual clashes continuing in southern Lebanon and exchanges of fire persisting, indicating a fragile and incomplete cessation of hostilities.
DEI Under Attack
Q: Can the momentum for inclusion be reversed, and what historical lessons inform current activism?
Crenshaw points to cycles of backlash in Reconstruction and the civil rights era, arguing that progress depends on persistent storytelling, solidarity, and linking racial justice with democratic participation to prevent regression.
DEI Under Attack
Q: Why is intersectionality central to understanding current pushbacks against DEI and inclusive democracy?
Crenshaw explains that intersectionality illuminates how multiple social identities intersect to shape experiences of oppression, and that dismissing or weakening DEI also harms broader democracy by erasing interlocking systems of power.
Murphy: American 'Crisis' Far Deeper than Trump
Q: What should be the first steps to reform the UN and its funding?
Agree on immediate reforms to ensure stable budgeting, engage broadly with member states, and restore the UN's ability to deliver humanitarian aid at scale while keeping aid non-politicized.
