Hi- I am a second year medical student, and as we started our psych unit and covered substance use, I wanted to find a podcast that helped me better understand the lived experience of people with substance use disorder. A few days later, Jeannine popped up on my instagram, and I started listening ! I absolutely love this show, the hosts, and the guests they invite to tell the story of addiction and its impact. I have been listening from the beginning of the show EVERY DAY on my drive to and fro... more
I absolutely love this show! I am 9 1/2 months sober after a terrible relapse on Kratom and meth. You and your guests have been a daily presence and reminder that there is life after drugs. I lost my apt. my kids and I wrecked 4 cars in 6 months of relapse. I feel like I found a friend in recovery through this show. I have listened to all the episodes, some of them 3-4 times through. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being there through it all! Love you guys!
Jeannine is extremely down to earth, non judgemental and a brilliant interviewer. I found her YouTube channel first and find comfort and strength when watching. Great variety of guys n gals at different stages of recovery.
I recently started listening to this podcast about a month ago. I immediately was hooked on it. I just look hearing these stories, it makes me feel seen and heard with all my past crazy experiences. Jeanine is so easy to love because her energy is so sweet and she’s enthusiastic. Much love for this new found gem.
A great podcast for everyone whether you’re in recovery, a family or someone in recovery, seeking help or just wanting inspiring stories. I listen to these episodes all day every day. Jeannine genuinely just wants to help people. Unlike others in the space Jeannine doesn’t ask you to pay for anything she’s not trying to sell you anything she’s here to share raw stories about using addiction and recovery.
