  • Very informative

    Absolutely love this podcast!

People seem to criticize terry and don but they are litterly just naturally complaining about a bunch of made up garbage. They have integrity and are great hunters and people!

To any of you complainers look at yourselves before picking apart people with integrity.

  • Lost a listener

Used to love this show. After a couple episodes ago where you went on a rant about “purple hair people” my kid who was riding in the car asked why a Christian man was talking poorly and verbally bullying someone. I turned the episode off and couldn’t finish it. Then I was listening to your next episode today for you to go on another rant about how Christian guys could talk poorly and lie about you. Best of luck. Unsubscribed.

One Minute Too Late… The Giant Buck That Got Away | EP 341

I acknowledge my own role in conflict, strive to respond with grace, and rely on faith to guide my reactions, aiming to set a constructive example rather than fueling controversy.

Q: Would you accept the position of head of DNR if Darren Bailey asked you?
Yes, I would consider it, though my wife's health and age are major factors, and I would prefer a consultant role rather than a full-time directors position.
The #1 Factor for Deer Movement — It’s NOT the Rut | Chasing Giants #340
Q: What is the primary factor driving deer movement and how should hunters use that information?
Temperature is the dominant driver; hunters should monitor fronts and temperature trends, understand that cold fronts increase movement, and plan hunts around those windows rather than relying on moon phase or rut alone.
Someone Sends You a Tip on a 200” Buck… What Do You Do? | Chasing Giants 339
Q: In relation to drone use, what criteria do you use to decide when a tip is legitimate and worth pursuing, and how do you protect relationships while following up?
He describes validating tips by requesting landowner details and exact locations; only a minority of tips justify action, and he emphasizes maintaining friendships and avoiding stepping on others' ground, even when a big buck is involved.

Q: NutriCrave corn and its fat content were discussed in a listener question; could you share your take on how fat levels in deer feed affect digestion and overall nutrition?
The guest clarifies that wild deer balance fat and calories across the diet; NutriCrave corn, with higher fat, increases calories and palatability but does not necessarily harm digestion since deer balance intake with other food sources and won't rely on corn alone.
