  • Can we get ALL 3 hours please!

I have been listening to uncle Nick and Chris since the days of the “Bottom Line”. You may be wondering how an African American male has two white Italian uncles! It’s because these guys have been like uncles talking sports around the house for like 20+ years! Nobody analyzes it better and nobody will make you laugh more! Absolutely love these guys and glad to see them on Apple Podcasts!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Shaq Moore - USMNT Defender, Georgia native
Q: What's your approach to conversations with coaches when you're older and trying to secure playing time?
I keep it professional, sometimes initiating conversations to express my desire to play, but I understand there are tough decisions and I focus on maximizing my own position rather than dwelling on the door being closed.
Shaq Moore - USMNT Defender, Georgia native
Q: What's the soccer version of the 'how do you get called up' moment—how does a player move from a youth or reserve team to the first team?
You perform consistently in the reserve or second team, and the first team coach watches those games and decides who to bring up; it's about proving you can compete at the higher level and then seizing the opportunity when it comes.
Shaq Moore - USMNT Defender, Georgia native
Q: When you were 18 or 19, did you look at a 30-year-old guy and think, you're dead?
I realized even older players had to adapt and take care of themselves; you learn to manage your body and keep pushing, because age is not a barrier if you stay disciplined.
Matt Barrie - SEC Nation, Sports Center host, TGL
Q: Care to repeat what you said for those that didn't hear it?
Barrie explains the realism (or lack thereof) of a 16-team league and clarifies that while European-style expansions are possible, any breakaway would require careful governance, broadcast rights, and a workable transfer policy to maintain competitive balance.
Chris Sale - Braves ace & Cy Young winner - In Studio
Q: What was going through your mind during the rough game last night, and how do you manage those tough outings?
He talks about focusing more, simplifying mechanics, recognizing that even when stuff isn't perfect, focusing on quick, repeatable actions and trusting the process helps him rebound.
