Thanks for the common sense, fun to listen to show. I have been a football fan forever - my dad did the stats for Bear Bryant back in the sixties; we went to every Alabama home game and bowl game every year. I went to school up north and sometimes had to follow football over the phone with play by play delivered by Dad. When working in Europe in the 90s I scoured the International Herald Tribune for scores and rare two sentence updates on season updates.
Fast forward to today and there is the... more
Very happy these guys are doing a podcast again, been following their work for a long time. I wish ubben was still the beat writer for UT, but a great show regardless
After slimming down on podcasts I found myself missing something that helped me keep up with College Football. Chris and David have the successful formula for a can’t miss podcast from me - great information and phenomenal conversational chemistry, whether on or off topic about CFB. Their podcast reflects their journalism, it’s top shelf.

Two veteran college football writers host a national show that blends strong analysis with entertaining banter, covering big stories, realignment talk, NIL debates, and playoff formats while weaving in interviews and listener questions. Episodes frequently feature coaching journeys, conference dynamics, and crossovers between football, media rights, and the broader sports business, with a knack for spotlighting G5 and non-traditional programs alongside powerhouses. A standout is the mix of hard news, guest interviews, and humorous personal anecdotes that make complex topics approachable for a passionate, analytically minded audience.
