This is a heartbreaking podcast, if only cuz I doubt I'll ever make it to BroadwayCon, but well, I can live vicariously through this show. Now that another Con has passed I'd love to hear this show broadcast the panels from it for those of us who missed it.
Love listening to these podcasts to get a better understanding of all things Broadway theatre, both on and off the stage. Patrick is an awesome podcast host who asks all the right questions of his guests.
Full disclosure though - Ep 6, the interview with the fantastic Lena Hall drove me mad. It sounded like she was eating while talking for most of the interview. I had enough 15 min in and had to fast forward to Jeanine Tesori.
I've been listening to the long-form interviews on the Theater People Podcast (also 5 stars) and this is a perfect complement. Patrick and crew do a spectacular job. And don't get me started on the guests....Jennifer Ashley Tepper gives an amazing brief history of some classic broadway houses (check out her books) and stars/participants share their stories and experiences about the event. Enjoy!
I absolutely LOVE this podcast! It's great for people like me who want to find more about how BroadwayCon was conceived and formed, and for those people who won't be able to make it (like me).
I cannot get enough of this podcast - it's fun and genuine and wonderful. If you have a theater kid inside you anywhere, give them this podcast and set them free!
