  • Where’s the big guns

I enjoy your podcasts guys but when you are looking at the rise of Dance & Electronic Music you need to go back to Pet shop Boys, Kreftwork, Cerrone, Gary Newman, then the 90s, groups like Orbital, Underworld, The KLF, 808 State, Aphex Twin, The Orb, The Prodigy, Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, Leftfield, Tricky, Daft Punk, Slam, Dj Shadow, Sasha, John Digweed, Bjork, The Chemical Brothers, Four Tet, Moby, Frankie Knuckles, Pete Tong, SL2, Adamski, Justice etc etc then you are on the right track ... more

  • Clever title but misleading

The podcast is less about Britpop’s top 50 albums and more about two friends taking a nostalgic journey through the music that shaped their teenage years in the 90’s. Unfortunately, they don’t embrace the nostalgia and instead flounder in a forced format of their own creation. I gave it the old college try and listened to 10 episodes of season one, listening to each album prior to the episode. By the time I got to Reef’s Glow album I’d had enough. Only one of the ten bands I listened to would I ... more

  • Absolutely love this podcast, even if I do occasionally disagree with the hosts on some bands (Lesley - Kula Shaker, Kev - The Stone Roses), but they're always great to listen to!

  • My go-to music podcast - an absolute blast

Congrats to Kev & Lesley for their wonderful BB podcast. Their passion oozes from every pore (quite literally on several episodes when Lesley doesn’t allow sickness to stop a scheduled recording!) and as well as their excellent knowledge and thirst for discovering more music of a similar ilk, the interplay between the two of them is brilliant. I’m working my way through season one and loving every episode. Great work guys and thank you.

  • Second season syndrome

Like season one the banter is there, the search for new music and les says are still there. But sadly the main event, the albums, is let down by a lack of quality. To go from The verve and Oasis to JJ72 and Athlete is a big step.Still a great listen though
