I recently found this podcast and it is giving me so much hope! I decided to start from the beginning and the counsel from John and Lou is amazing! Their lived experiences, education, and loving approach is helping me see my situation in a new light. They are giving me tools to keep myself grounded as well. A must listen for anyone who loves someone with a substance use problem.
Useful, pragmatic advice. Can highly recommend to any of who knows or lives with a problem drinker.
This is really good. Very helpful to me and it has finally made sense to me that the affect on our family is as important as a clinical diagnosis. I’ll keep listening.
John and Lou really helped me understand my partner behaviour better.
