Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Blond & Quantum Episode 7: Q-Day already happened and nobody notices | Joe Spencer
Q: Okay, okay. Another question, Joe, here is, another buzzword that you hear a lot in the industry—Q Day. Can you please explain what Q Day actually is and whether it's influencing policy meaningfully?
Q Day can be framed either as a scare tactic or a bold forecast, depending on who you ask. In my view, it's not a single day but a continuum of milestones over decades, moving closer as new algorithms and devices enable more capable quantum systems. It's a spectrum where breakthroughs push the timeline forward, but practical, policy-impacting realization depends on real-world demonstrations and deployment.
Bond & Quantum Start-up Series Episode 4: Who's recording your data right now and why? | Marc Kaplan
Q: Marc, what should a non-technical CEO be worried about right now regarding quantum threats?
Quantum computers could break current public-key cryptography, so organizations should start upgrading to quantum-resistant standards now, because the upgrade takes time and the data you encrypt today may need long-term protection.
Blond and Quantum Start-up Series Ep. 6: "AI agents are already trading and most hedge funds don't know they're losing" | Yianni Gamvros Co-founder and CEO of Quantum Signals.
Q: What would be the biggest misconception about people may have about companies like yours?
A common misconception is that founders should or must trade their own funds; in reality this is a VC-backed SaaS business aimed at scalable AI-enabled signals rather than personal trading, with a clear separation between product value and founder personal trading activity.
Blond and Quantum Start-up Series Ep. 6: "AI agents are already trading and most hedge funds don't know they're losing" | Yianni Gamvros Co-founder and CEO of Quantum Signals.
Q: But how about the bonds? Do you have any secret? How are you escaping those famous 12 months enterprise sales cycle or not?
Contract cycles are long, especially with banks, but the business is supported by strong business leverage and demonstrated predictive ROI, which helps shorten the sales cycle for hedge funds; banks remain slower but represent a strategic long-term customer channel.
Blond and Quantum Start-up Series Ep. 6: "AI agents are already trading and most hedge funds don't know they're losing" | Yianni Gamvros Co-founder and CEO of Quantum Signals.
Q: And I would like to ask Yianni to explain us as well. So what is the part of your solution right now, which is actually Quantum or maybe Quantum versus Classical or Quantum-inspired?
The current product is fully classical AI, with a roadmap to include quantum-inspired agents that run on GPU and use a market-data trained foundational model; true quantum hardware implementations are planned for the future as the hardware matures.
