  • Biohacking Beauty—Listen and Learn!!

Biohacking Beauty is my FAVORITE podcast. Once a week is not enough for me, so I re-listen and love it if they send out a bonus episode!!

Amitay said in a podcast way back that there is not one magic potion or action. (my paraphrase). He said it’s like a symphony!! That made sense!! My daily actions now after almost 2 years of listening reflect a lot of what I have learned. I am faithful to their skincare line and appreciate the science with their helpful protocols that give me the action s... more

  • Smart and practical!

This podcast has the latest science on skincare! It is truly smart. And, as a busy mom of six, I really enjoy the practical tips the hosts include. Also, can I just say, the comments on sleep deprivation were all too real. 😆 Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us!

As a side note: I’d love to hear your thoughts on skin beauty products which contain estradiol and also about bee venom.

  • Not Just Amazing Information

This is the best podcast for cutting edge information about longevity science and aging. That’s not it though. The friendly and humorous banter between the two hosts reveals how much love and respect they have for each other and I really value that. I look forward to every episode.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

263. Q&A: The Skincare Trends Worth Questioning Before You Buy
Q: Do men need different skincare than women, or is the difference mostly branding and marketing?
There is no intrinsic need for different ingredients; aging pathways are similar across sexes. Marketing creates differences via branding, bottle design, and claimed 'men's' formulations, but a unisex approach focused on effective ingredients and simple routines is generally appropriate.
263. Q&A: The Skincare Trends Worth Questioning Before You Buy
Q: What do you think about Red Light Therapy Masks as a trend—are they worth it, and how do you separate effective devices from marketing hype?
Masks can be convenient but often don't deliver a true clinical dose; panels emitting higher power and proper wavelengths provide more reliable results. Look for devices with verified energy outputs (mW/cm²) and FDA interactions, and consider whether the device supports full-body exposure or is limited to facial use.
263. Q&A: The Skincare Trends Worth Questioning Before You Buy
Q: The topic is acne. Can skincare help hormonal or cystic acne, and how do you best handle acne scars, plus which ingredients to avoid or use?
Acne is closely tied to immune response and gut health; gentler, more targeted strategies that reduce inflammation tend to work better than harsh drying approaches. For acne scars, consider anti-inflammatory support, and use products like ladder serum in combination with supportive therapies. Professional guidance from integrative dermatologists is recommended for root-cause assessment and safety when exploring peptides or advanced treatments.
262. Chris Duffin: The Peptide Mistake That Keeps Regenerative Protocols From Working
Q: Is there a universal peptide protocol for everyone?
No; peptide plans must be personalized to the individual's environment, gut health, sleep, stress, and broader metabolic state; a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work.
262. Chris Duffin: The Peptide Mistake That Keeps Regenerative Protocols From Working
Q: Why focus on the terrain rather than the peptide itself?
Because signaling molecules only achieve their intended effects if the cells and tissues they act upon are healthy, well-nourished, and free from chronic inflammation; otherwise, the signals are muted or misdirected.
