  • Smart and practical!

This podcast has the latest science on skincare! It is truly smart. And, as a busy mom of six, I really enjoy the practical tips the hosts include. Also, can I just say, the comments on sleep deprivation were all too real. 😆 Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us!

As a side note: I’d love to hear your thoughts on skin beauty products which contain estradiol and also about bee venom.

  • Not Just Amazing Information

This is the best podcast for cutting edge information about longevity science and aging. That’s not it though. The friendly and humorous banter between the two hosts reveals how much love and respect they have for each other and I really value that. I look forward to every episode.

  • Best Skincare Line

I did a ton of research on skincare lines, and had a few I wanted to try out including Young Goose. I received the cleanser and bio retinol, tried it out, and loved it! I honestly didn’t end up trying any other brands, and just ordered more Young Goose products because it’s honestly the first time I have noticed a visible change in my skin! I’m 44 years old, and just love the entire line. I hope you stay true to your clean ingredients, and don’t sell to a big corp! I also hope you get your Vitam... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Chris Mirabile: Why One Ingredient Will Never Stop You From Aging (And What Actually Does)
Q: What role does testing play in proving the efficacy of skincare interventions?
Testing, particularly human studies and longitudinal data, is crucial because topical effects can be observed quickly, while systemic effects require longer validation; proteomics and metabolomics can help map mechanism to outcome.
Chris Mirabile: Why One Ingredient Will Never Stop You From Aging (And What Actually Does)
Q: How do you connect the hallmarks of aging to skin specifically?
DNA damage, mitochondrial dysfunction, and cellular senescence are especially relevant in skin due to UV exposure and environmental insults, but they interact with other hallmarks, so a holistic, multi-target approach is needed.
Chris Mirabile: Why One Ingredient Will Never Stop You From Aging (And What Actually Does)
Q: What is your opinion on the current trend of brands focusing on a single molecule for aging?
A multi-hallmark perspective is more accurate; science supports stacking and testing combinations rather than relying on one molecule, which is often driven by marketing more than evidence.
Dani Conway: The Gut-Liver Detox Connection & How Gut Issues Show Up As Skin Issues
Q: What practical steps can someone take to support detox and skin health?
Focus on digestion, daily bowel movements, lymphatic drainage, and non-precious at-home strategies like dry brushing, Epsom salt baths, walking, and basic detox-friendly nutrition; food quality foundation is essential.
Dani Conway: The Gut-Liver Detox Connection & How Gut Issues Show Up As Skin Issues
Q: How does poor detoxification show up in people's skin?
It can manifest as dull complexion, dark under-eye coloration, acne, rashes, eczema, rosacea, and other skin issues that reflect systemic toxin load and gut-detox balance.
