The closing chapters of 2 Kings have been dark. And then, out of nowhere, King Josiah and a few unsung heroes show up and lead Judah back to God. But it's too late . . . right?
Jim, Alex, and Sam discuss 2 Kings 22.
As Judah continues its descent toward destruction, we meet Manasseh. He's a terrible, wicked, awful king. He should be building the temple, but instead he's blaspheming it. Alex, Jim, and Sam discuss 2 Kings 21.
In 2 Kings 20, we come across the sad final chapter of Hezekiah's reign. What started out so well ends so poorly. What can we learn from this? Alex, Jim, and Sam discuss.
In this special episode of Bible Talk, Jim Hamilton and Sam Emadi interview Alex Duke about From Eden to Egypt, a book about Genesis “for normal people.” 9marks.myshopify.com/collections/new-releases/products/from-eden-to-egypt

This is one of the best cases for expository preaching that I can think of. The depth and richness of the Bible is on full display. Jim and Sam have had an incredible impact on my own walk with the Lord (“Hallelujah!” *Jim voice*) and I am so grateful for Alex’s constant looking out for the newcomer. These three have a fantastic dynamic and I just pray that the Lord would allow these men to continue this podcast through the span of the whole Bible. Glory to God!
I am not a pastor, but a laywomen. I started listening to this podcast to better help me understand the more difficult books I am reading through in my daily studies (specifically Leviticus-Deut.). It has been immensely helpful, which being highly understandable. The hosts are skilled in bringing every chapter back to Jesus and showing how it means something in our lives today - something that can be hard to see in the Pentateuch as a modern day believer.
Thankful for this podcast!
I love this podcast, because they do a great job of tying every chapter to biblical themes that run throughout Scripture. It’s super helpful for seeing the overarching narrative of the Bible, and for helping us understand how all of Scripture points to Christ. Highly recommended!
I just recently discovered this podcast (suggested to me by my pastor) years after its inception. I'm happy I have time to catch up since you're only in 2 Kings. Just some encouragement so you'll keep posting till the end of Revelation (even if it takes 10 more years). I'm learning so much. Thank you!!
I love how the guys just go through the bible a chapter at a time. Enough theology to satisfy the "geekey" side of those who go deep in bible study (Let's find every Chiasm in the Scriptures!), accurate historical context to make sure application is properly done, and also concise and basic enough to give the narrative for those looking for just a review of the passage.
The Chemistry between the guys is good. There are times when they speak over one another and from time to time one member will... more
