The talks and commentaries on the Sutta are invaluable and precious. I have been a TWIM practitioner only for one year… and already feeling warmth and love for all living beings.

There is no practice like TWIM. I have been doing it for five years now. Practicing TWIM has changed my life. It is important to note that no practice is the answer or a standalone best fit. Something I realised for myself while meditating. Delson is an amazing teacher. His compassionate way of guiding us through this exploration of ourselves is beautiful. Thank you for this.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Day 3 MN 39 Pt2 "The Door" Explaining Jhanas 1-4
Q: Do you go in sequence or is it possible to land directly in later jhānas?
The conversation indicates that while some may progress through the stages sequentially, a highly trained practitioner can reach higher jhānas more directly if the mind is already firmly established in equanimity and concentration, though for most it is best to experience them one by one.
Day 3 MN 39 Pt2 "The Door" Explaining Jhanas 1-4
Q: When you go through the Jhānas, do you go through one, then two, then three, then four?
The discourse suggests that practitioners typically progress through the Jhānas in order, but an advanced student might bypass earlier stages if their clear mind naturally lands in a later jhāna; for most beginners, gradual progression is advised to build stable concentration and insight.
MN 1 Majjhima Series with Delson Armstrong-The Root Sequence
Q: Seeing things as they are, what does that truly mean in practice?
It means recognizing the dependencies and conditioning behind experiences—seeing impermanence and interdependence—and not conceiving a separate self within those experiences; this reduces attachment and supports more authentic mindfulness.
Jan 25 2026 SN 1.5 Arahant SN22.89 Khemakha Sutta with Delson Armstrong
Q: Is it accurate to say that dependent origination is the foundation for the three marks of existence?
Yes, that is accurate.
Jan 25 2026 SN 1.5 Arahant SN22.89 Khemakha Sutta with Delson Armstrong
Q: When you speak of this I am, what is it that you speak of as I am?
I do not speak of form as I am, nor do I speak of I am apart from form.
