  • Best get ready listen for entrepreneur salon owners, stylists & students

While you look at yourself in the mirror and get ready physically for your day why not work on getting mentally prepared. I really enjoyed listening to several of the podcasts so far each day. Some of them are shorter so I can take on a few while I get ready and drive to work. I’ve enjoyed the mindset shares from industry professionals, the consistency in the message of continue showing up the right people will find you, whether that salon clients or staff, tips for younger, growing stylist, bui... more

  • Hypocrite

Do not take any advice from this fraud. Her salons are failing to the point where she closed her nail salon with absolutely no warning to clients or employees. Imagine leaving your workers instantly unemployed, and thinking you’re in a position to give anyone advice. She has a long history of poor business practices and management, and threatening employees with lawsuits if they ever speak up.

I enjoy listening to Kati's interviews. She has great energy and is always positive. Today, I was surprised to hear she interviewed one of my mentors and my only trusted product line. Greg Starkman from Innersense Organic Beauty!!!

I wish I could add a phone because while listening in the car, I had their Body Butter in my bag.

I agree with you, Kati; I can’t get enough of this product. 🥰

696: Revamp Your Hiring Process, with Jessi Ivey
Q: What did that look like? What was this differentiator you felt that your business had that helped you grow to over 25 team members?
The differentiator was a deliberate, structured hiring process: shadow days, multiple interviews with different team leads, and a focus on ensuring candidates understood and could live the salon culture before joining, which built a strong, cohesive team.

Q: What are your plans for scaling Haus of Artisan and your education platform?

686: The Power of Identity, with Kourtnee Jinright
Q: What inspired the creation of Haus of Artisan?
Kourtnee explains that collaboration and helping others stood out as a missing piece in the industry—she wanted to create a space where artists could work together, learn from each other, and grow through joint online education rather than competing against one another.
688: Keep Inspiring Your Team, with Sarah Carroll
Q: So let's go all the way back. Like, how did a 15-year-old version of you become this tenacious about learning all these things?
Sarah describes a lifelong passion for the craft sparked by early exposure in a high-end salon, a relentless curiosity about the science behind hair, and a drive to learn from everyone around her, which propelled her into education and leadership at a young age.
