I believe every person has value. Behind every headline, hustle, hard-earned moment, and family tales there’s a story worth sharing. That’s why I built Beyond the Mic. I talk with artists, athletes, authors, icons and people you need to know. I don’t do puff pieces. I ask questions that get to the real stuff: the doubts, wins, detours, and moments that shaped them. The stories that you normally do... more

“Beyond the Mic with Sean Dillon is smart, engaging, and refreshingly authentic. Sean’s thoughtful questions and natural interview style bring out real, human stories that go far deeper than a typical Q&A. A must-listen for anyone who loves meaningful conversations!”
Beyond the Mic is a great example of how short-form interviews can still go deep (although there are longer conversations, too). Sean has a real knack for making guests feel comfortable fast, which means you get thoughtful answers without the fluff.
It’s a quick listen, but there’s always something interesting, whether it’s a behind-the-scenes moment, a surprising insight, or just a really well-timed question. Perfect for when you want something sharp and engaging on your feed.
I thought I would never hear an interviewer who did more research than Larry King, but I have to say that Sean Dillon finds information on his guests that most people would require a professional background search to achieve. Sean’s show is filled with these surprising gems that his guests are almost always thrilled to talk about. It infuses his already wonderful segments with the passion and enthusiasm that he has for storytelling and the people who are lucky enough to be on his show!
I am so impressed by Sean and his Beyond the Mic show! Blowed away actually! I love the mix of guests and how he gets people vulnerable

Sean turns bite-size audio interviews into highly bingable ear candy; really a great podcast that makes the most of it’s brief format. Personal favorite episodes are Stephan Pastis and the new Grant Morrison one.
