  • Good insight

I like this podcast, I’m about 15 episodes in. Interesting range of topics and covers a ( to me) lesser known theatre in WW2

  • Politically Biased with numerous poor conclusions.

I’ve attempted a few episodes and the host continuously inserts his modern liberal opinions, which are completely unwelcome. His biases against the Germans then & the Russians now are childish.

As to the content, the episode of The Battle of Prokohrovka (August 5, 2024) is quite poor. His information is laughably incorrect and relies heavily on Soviet quotes - which were deliberate lies.

The Germans didn’t have any Panthers or Ferdinands at this engagement and only a handful of Tiger I tanks. more

  • Wokey

Each episode opens with acknowledgement that the show is recorded in Ottawa, on land stolen from the Algonquin people. It goes downhill from there. If you seek a woke-cast comparing Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler, here it is. As an added bonus, you’ll be serenaded with little ditties on the xylophone. Enjoy.

  • Pretty Good!

Great podcast. Not as polished as I’m used to but no big deal. Sometimes the music is annoying and goes on way too long but apparently it’s a relative composing it so I understand. It’s August, 2025 and I’m starting at the beginning. They are definitely of a nice, easily digestible length. Bravo, Mr. Bury!

  • Keep your personal politics out

The content is great but the narrator insists on interjecting his personal politics. I listen for education and entertainment. People like these things to get a break from the politics and division. All you do is turn people off. I’m still listen because people are entitled to their opinions but please, give it a break.
