I found Dr. Portela's podcast to be approachable for all walks of life-- skin care beginners/gurus, pharmacists, dermatologist/NP/PA (me!) estheticians... Because of the explosion of information nowadays through social media, it's so important to incorporate all voices and discuss treatments and debunk myths as a team. I would love to see more collabs with cosmetic chemists in the future as the audience is becoming more educated too. Great educational podcast!
In the July episode about acne, it is pretty clear to anyone with a brain that both these dermatologists have received all their education regarding pharmaceutical treatment options for acne directly from pharmaceutical companies. Accutane (isotretinoin) is a very dangerous and serious drug with many potential disabling lifelong side effects. People have died from this drug.
