Excellent! Insightful ideas that invite to think critically. Inspiring + practical. Conceived to spark knowledge and mobilize change every day!
This audio opened my interest specially in the mix methods used in this research. I am begining my career as development practitioner and these type of documents of "small books for big ideas", are so much needed. It is not only useful to continue research, but also to apply it. I am also convinced about the importance of the "microunderstang" in order to analyse and act with a meaninful impact
So easy to listen to, but touching a world changing topics
Great podcast initiative so great to hear Robert Chambers kicking off the first episode and can’t wait for the next episode!
Excellent because informative and well-conducted. Audio is clean as well, which is always nice.

A thoughtful series exploring development challenges, governance, and social change through conversations with researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. Episodes frequently center on gender, disability inclusion, equity in research, anti-caste perspectives, and just transitions within energy and economic policy. Notable is a strong emphasis on policy relevance, critical voices from the Global South, and practitioner-researcher collaboration that grounds theory in lived experience. The format tends toward in-depth interviews that illuminate how development work is designed, funded, and evaluated, with a clear aim to spark actionable insights for listeners who work in research, policy, and NGO sectors.
