  • Great conversation and show

I had a really solid experience on Behind The Shades. The host made it easy to open up and actually talk about real things.

-fatherhood, partnership, the ups and downs of raising a family, and trying to stay grounded through it all.

As a dad of four, I appreciated how natural the whole conversation felt. Just great dialogue that I think a lot of men and parents will relate to.

If you like real conversations that make you think a little and feel a little, this podcast is worth checking out.

Signs You’re in a Narcissistic Relationship
Q: How can someone find their self-worth after it's been tied to traumatic situations for so long?
They should embark on a journey of deep self-understanding, shedding old stories, practicing journaling and meditation, setting small goals to prove to themselves their worth, and engaging in embodiment work to truly feel the change rather than just affirm it.
Signs You’re in a Narcissistic Relationship
Q: What would be some of the dangers then that those people would face knowing that their past is such as having such a significant impact on their present and future?
Survivors risk burnout, financial strain, and ongoing manipulation; narcissists are strategic at exploiting wounds and maintaining control, which can trap people in harmful cycles unless boundaries and self-advocacy are established.
Signs You’re in a Narcissistic Relationship
Q: When you mention red flags, what are some of the red flags that you'd like to share for people to help them identify a narcissist in the wild?
Red flags include lying, grandiosity, disconnect from reality, unstable patterns like frequent frequent big but unrewarded ventures, chronic borrowing or financial manipulation, and a pattern of love bombing that keeps the partner engaged without genuine reciprocity.
Signs You’re in a Narcissistic Relationship
Q: So I guess my first question for you then is, from narcissistic abuse in general, what is that? And what can it look like for those who may not know?
The guest explains that narcissistic abuse is a private, often hidden dynamic with a power imbalance, where the victim may only realize the abuse after years or decades, frequently rooted in childhood trauma, leading to trauma bonds and dysregulated nervous systems.
Your Mindset Is Quietly Ruining You
Q: What are three things you wish people knew about the benefits of a healthy mindset and why?
Munira emphasizes the importance of knowing what you want as it sets the foundation for successful decision-making and fulfillment.
