Excellent podcast for anyone who is interested in performing arts and theatre. Michael has a lovely voice and the conversations are intelligent, insightful and honest! The people he gets in front of the mic are brilliant and leading figures in the arts in the UK! One of the best podcasts of that genre!
So in-depth and informative. I’m really enjoying hearing such a thorough account of people in the business I admire so much, whilst also being very listenable.
As you listen you really feel like you’re getting under the skin of the interviewees. Despite not knowing a lot of the guests, it was really enjoyable getting to know these art practitioners and hearing their insight into their own practices. Wrote down some of the pearls of wisdom. The Mike Alfreds one really perked up my bathroom deep-clean!
Listening to Michael’s conversations with his guests has been wonderful. There is a certain chemistry between him and his guest that comes across in the conversations which draws the listener in. Michael’s guests share thoughtful, generous and honest ideas, and his astute questioning helps draw out interesting nuances. The lessons and ideas are applicable beyond the arts and theatre crowd, and Michael gets them to share in a way that highlights both his and their evident passion for and commitme... more

Looking forward to seeing this go from strength to strength !
I’ve listened to a few episodes now, and as an actress in training I find it very helpful to hear about other people’s journeys working in the field. It also goes deeper into the craft and techniques of acting, especially liked the conversation with teacher Mike Alfred. He shared so much wisdom and practical tips! The questions asked by the interviewer helped to delve deep into the art of acting and not just the idea of succes that is often associated with it.. which I really liked. Thank you fo... more
Its really good!
