I was an admirer of many of Bowie’s music from the 70’s and thanks to this podcast, I was able to deep dive into Bowie’s catalogue and make great discoveries such as Buddha of Suburbia and many other albums and songs. Jesse and John know very well their music history and they have done a great work to tell us everything about each and every song. They are also fun to listen at. I highly recommend their podcast and can’t wait for their next musical trip (Talking Heads ?).
Excellent! So much insight and clever (controversial?) opinions!
First of all - you guys have the coolest Dad :) Secondly - I’ve been a fan of DB since I heard Starman in 1972 ! It’s scary to think his music has been in my life for so long. Hardly a week goes by where i don’t play some Bowie. My favourite album by anyone is Low ( and Art Decade is my favourite track on Side 2 - just saying :)) I’ve been looking for a podcast like this for ages. I did find a couple of interesting ones but none that really satisfied the itch, so I gave up hunting. Then one day,... more
Excellent podcast. I've been a Bowie fan for just over 50 years and I thought there's nothing anyone can tell me about Bowie......I was wrong.
These boys know there stuff.
5 star.
Huge Bowie fan but this is giving me fresh impetus to go back to some of the things I’ve skipped over recent years; including Never Let Me Down, Heroes side 2, Baal and I can’t believe I’m admitting this, Lodger.
Keep going fellas, this is important work!
I’m a happy Welshman listening from The Hague.
Best Bowie deep dive out there
A fantastic podcast! These guys provide a deep dive into David Bowie’s songs and career with incredible insight into both lyrics and music. Two very well-spoken and highly intelligent brothers and old souls who again and again impress and provide epiphanies to this lifelong Bowie fan who discovered and started analyzing DB music well before they were born! Kudos, Jesse and John…you’re the real deal!
Such a great deep dive into the album cuts and some of the live tours and movies.
It makes me appreciate the albums even more after listening to the specific episodes.
Great stuff!
Worth a listen. Very fun and interesting convos and some exceptional guests.
It is great to listen to people who know and appreciate Bowie specifically so much but also music in general. Their expertise is not lorded over anyone, however. They just present well-informed opinions, analyses, and questions that one can engage with at multiple levels. The best of the Bowie podcasts.

Great format for covering an artist like Bowie. A must listen for both the casual and the biggest fans.
Very insightful track by track breakdowns that will occasionally spiral into fun banter. Great for in the background and also great to listen to actively.
These guys have a lot of fun and it makes listening to them fun. Highly recommend for anyone trying to get into Bowie. Good insight as well.
As someone who does know that much about Bowie but is a decent fan of his music, I find myself learning multiple new things each episode. Keep up the good work guys!! 👩🏻🎤
