Be a Smarter Claimant - Advice from a World-Renowned Adjuster
Q: What should homeowners do to speed up the process?
Provide complete information, have an agreed scope of damage with contractors, document with photos/videos, and communicate in a clear, organized way, including written letters when appropriate.
Be a Smarter Claimant - Advice from a World-Renowned Adjuster
Q: Why is there sometimes mistrust between homeowners and insurers?
Because homeowners often feel overwhelmed by complex policies and estimates, while adjusters juggle many claims; education, documentation, and clear communication help bridge that gap.
Be a Smarter Claimant - Advice from a World-Renowned Adjuster
Q: What do adjusters actually do in the claims process?
They facilitate the claims process, communicate coverage, gather information, and work to move the claim toward resolution, though the workload and systems can make it feel slow or impersonal.
How to Detox Your Home for Better Health
Q: What are three simple changes people can make right now?
Start with three daily-use areas: air, water, and cleaning products. Choose an air-focused change like an air scrubber or better filtration, swap to a low-tox cleaning routine (begin with an all-purpose cleaner, dish soap, and laundry detergent), and begin gradually replacing one product at a time to reduce toxin exposure while keeping costs in check.
How to Detox Your Home for Better Health
Q: What does 'low-tox' actually mean in practical terms for a busy homeowner?
Low-tox is about removing the biggest toxin sources step by step, starting with everyday products and routines, and gradually substituting safer options. It's not about perfection, but about making smarter, simpler choices that fit your schedule and budget, and building momentum through small wins.
