  • Love GTF - Hate your Internet

Love the GTF show and getting Greg’s insights. That said, you guys have got to get the internet issues fixed. The issues have been going on for as long as I can remember. In this day and age, I don’t understand how it continues to be an issue week after week. Outside of the internet issues, I love the show.

Can’t wait for a Greg Gabriel episode. That gentleman knows his stuff . . . and everyone’s other stuff!

But Aldo, you’re forced laughter is a bit cringe worthy.

    Thanks!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Eric Galko On Bears | Gabriel Talks Football
Q: How do you view the balance between need-based drafting and the best-player-available approach for the Bears this year?
The consensus is that teams often say best player available, but boards are tailored to team needs; strategic moves like trading back can unlock higher value at positions of need (like center) while still addressing talent.
DB Help For Bears Coming | Draft on Tap
Q: What is the biggest need for the Bears according to today's discussion?
The consensus is that the front seven, especially edge rush and safety, are crucial, with a highlighted need to add dynamic playmakers who can contribute early and allow defensive line and secondary schemes to flourish.
Edge, Safety Prospects For Bears | Gabriel Talks Football
Q: Do you think trading down is the smarter path to maximize value in a deep class?
Yes, especially if you can collect extra day-two assets and still land a quality starter; the 25-to-34 range can offer similar value with more options, depending on how boards fall.
Edge, Safety Prospects For Bears | Gabriel Talks Football
Q: Mike, which positions do you see as the Bears' top priorities for the first round given the current roster?
Edge and safety stand out as the two primary needs, with emphasis on athletic pass rushers who can win with speed and bend, and safeties who can cover and play multiple roles in a versatile scheme.
Declan Doyle, Ian Cunningham, & All Star Games | Gabriel Talks Football
Q: Can you foretell how the Chicago Bears will draft this season?
They could either trade up to get specific talent or trade down to accumulate more picks, depending on the evaluation of the draft class.
