  • Banal Self Promotion

I’ve listened to episode one and it’s staggering how loquacious finance people are. The whole episode is just a verbose and vapid self promotion with no meaningful financial insights or deeper interesting educational points. It’s just waffling jovial banter with no substance. The whole thing could be summarized as, “You can totally trust me! Look how charismatic and fun loving I am”. This guy should be a politician, he answered questions for an hour and said nothing.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

He interviewed 800 advisers around the world. Here's the one thing they all got wrong
Q: If Marloo succeeds, what will the advisory industry look like in 10 years?
There will be two outcomes: ultra-personalized advice at scale for those who can afford it, and improved, cheaper general advice for a broader population, enabled by AI to manage compliance and client engagement more efficiently.
He interviewed 800 advisers around the world. Here's the one thing they all got wrong
Q: What was the big fundamental problem you identified after interviewing 800 advisers?
The core issue is an economics and efficiency problem: high minimums to onboard clients and a heavy back-office/compliance burden that prevents advisors from focusing on client-facing work; AI can shift the balance toward more meaningful client interactions.
He interviewed 800 advisers around the world. Here's the one thing they all got wrong
Q: How much time are you saving advisors with Marloo?
Marloo has shown significant time savings, with early versions saving about a day per busy advisor per week, and now the platform enabling more efficient, personalized output across the advisory workflow, which translates to lower costs per advisor.
War, rebounds & rate hikes: Why you shouldn’t go all-in on Equities
Q: I want to start with the US-Iran war. What's your outlook from here and what can we expect?
Cassidy suggests that markets have priced in some good news and are constructive but cautious; a deal is possible but not guaranteed, with potential for a short-term setback before a durable resolution.
Ethics CPD with Dr Katherine Hunt
Q: How can advisors overcome ego and scale their business ethically in the AI era?
Develop and follow a personal ethical foundation (the Human Code), automate back-office and reach-out processes to free time for meaningful client interactions, and use AI to support, not replace, the human advisor.
