  • Can’t do it anymore

My favorite things to do is catch the wrap and the highlights after a win during my happy hour…can’t do it anymore.. 3 rounds of ads dropped in randomly to a 6-10 minute show is yes…torture…KNBR has totally lost the plot

  • Wrap still missing

There are so many other shows on the bigger KNBR app that it’s a pain to find the wrap. I still don’t understand why they don’t put the wrap here.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

5-2 The Tony V Show
Q: Does that change the conversations, the preparation when it's a little bit of an unknown about what they might do pitching-wise?
Vitello explains that the presence of an opener changes how the coaching staff analyzes matchups, relies on analytics to predict tendencies, and adjusts preparation to accommodate potential two-inning or longer outings by the opener, while keeping the core bullpen ready.
4-19 The Tony V Show
Q: Let's focus on today's game now. The Nats are going to use an opener. PJ Poulin, left hander, is going to start the game. You have any thoughts about that general strategy and what you do against it?
The strategy involves anticipating how the opener will pivot the game and adjusting pitching plans to maximize matchups, with a focus on how Nicholas is expected to handle multiple innings and how the bullpen mixes left/right looks to counter their lineup.
4-16 The Tony V. Show
Q: How is the team addressing the challenge of facing hard throwing left-handed hitters like Dela Cruz and Stewart?
The approach involves throwing strikes early, mixing in fastballs with breaking balls, and using lineups that minimize the left-handed hitters' advantages while exploiting angles and velocity.
4-16 The Tony V. Show
Q: What stood out about Landon Roop early this season?
Roop's focus and composure stand out; he maintains control even when emotions rise, which helps him stay on course during tough innings.
4-16 The Tony V. Show
Q: What was the thinking behind increasing the number of left-handed hitters in the lineup?
The plan is to better match up against Cincinnati's right-handed pitchers and add flexibility in late-game situations, leveraging the team's depth to create advantageous at-bats.
