  • 2025 early roster talk

I’m usually the guy, defending players, like I’ve always defended Bateman through the injuries and drops because you could see him getting separation and moments of greatness.

But with that said, I’m completely out when it comes to both J.Armor-Davis & D.Ojabo, both drafted in 2022 and look at their availability they each have the same amount games as Pepe Williams and he’s been gone for two full seasons now. Everyone else in that class have 40+ games.

John Simpson on Why He Returned to Baltimore, the Tenacity He'll Bring, And Teaming Up With Vega Ioane
Q: How do you view your role with Vega Ioane and the interior of the line, and what conversations have you had with leadership about the tenacity you're supposed to bring?

John Simpson on Why He Returned to Baltimore, the Tenacity He'll Bring, And Teaming Up With Vega Ioane
Q: What conversations did you have with the Ravens during free agency that ultimately led to you coming back here?
He describes the emphasis on bringing tenacity and physicality, plus a sense of home and family within the organization, which reinforced his decision to return.
Calais Campbell Talks About Returning to Ravens, How He Keeps Playing at a High Level, And More
Q: Why did returning to the Ravens feel like the right move this time around?
The Ravens checked the boxes in terms of roster fit, culture, and potential for team success; Baltimore also offered the opportunity to play a pivotal role on a defense that needed a veteran presence, which aligned with his goal of contributing meaningfully and winning.
Dane Brugler Previews the Ravens' Draft
Q: What is your read on the wide receiver group for the Ravens at 14?
The receiver class is deep but expensive to acquire in free agency, so drafting a young, high-upside receiver on a rookie contract could be valuable, especially if they believe in a top option like Jordan Tyson despite injury concerns. The decision depends on how many top receivers are off the board and the Ravens' willingness to invest in youth over immediate need.
