Q: How might Declan Doyle influence the Ravens' offense and Lamar Jackson's usage?
Solak suggests Doyle will tailor the passing game to Lamar's unique abilities, potentially increasing under-center concepts, mid-field targeting, and a more spread, swing-and-pass approach while integrating run-heavy elements and more motion to create explosive plays.
Ben Solak Talks About New Coaches' Scheme, Ravens' Biggest Priority to Improve, the Next Step for Lamar Jackson And More
Q: What impact will Jesse Minter have on the defense and how will his approach differ from prior coordinators?
Solak explains that Minter should bring a sharper, more zone-oriented defense with a modern, analytically minded approach, likely using Kyle Hamilton heavily and leveraging a stronger edge-rush setup built from the Chargers' model, while adapting to Baltimore's personnel and finding a balance between box looks and coverage schemes.
