  • 10/30/25 Starks vs Emmanwori

This isn’t going to be a sophisticated point as in backed by statistics or play, but the reason I don’t think it’s a fair comparison is because of the difference between MacDonald vs Orr as a defensive play caller and planner.

I understand liking Emmanwori as a prospect due to his physical abilities and potential, but I feel like him going to MacDonald meant he landed in a spot where that coach could maximize that potential. I feel like S.Spagnola, V.Joseph, or B.Flores could also take a playe... more

  • Review

Like most Ravens podcasts, this one overlooks Lamar’s critical flaws in an effort to appease its fan base…but, it is far more detailed and useful than the rest of them

  • Best Raven Podcast & Analysis

Ken and his guests provide the best and most articulate fact based analysis of any forum I have experienced. I anxiously await his daily pod casts . Keep up the great work! I don’t know how you find the time to perform the analysis you provide. The Raven organization should consider hiring you!

Coming back to emphasize just how fact based and outstanding Ken’s analysis is in all facets of the games.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Friday Morning GM 8/7/2026 Part 2
Q: Richard Thorndyke asks about the mesh point and the quarterback's role in a more run-heavy, under-center offense.
The hosts view an expanded mesh-point usage as likely due to the run-heavy identity, but emphasize Lamar's elite reading of defenses and versatility as essential to the team's offensive identity.
Friday Morning GM 8/7/2026 Part 2
Q: Leo Scarecrow asks about the team's planning and whether the Ravens should rely on rookie contracts or sign veteran help.
The discussion indicates a preference for leveraging rookie-contract players but acknowledges the potential need for midseason veteran signings to maintain competitive depth, with a broader view on how Minter's coaching tree and the Ravens' roster building will unfold.
Friday Morning GM 8/7/2026 Part 2
Q: Evan Rothschild asks how Jacoby Lane is performing on routine plays aside from the highlight catches.
Lane is described as having exceptional catch radius and frequent big plays, but routine, open-target consistency is less certain; the discussion suggests Lane may be used similarly to a tight end at times to maximize his value.
Friday Morning GM 8/7/2026 Part 2
Q: Keith Krantz asks if the Ravens should consider a prove-it deal with Zach Ertz and how Jonu Smith compares.
The hosts express cautious openness to veteran additions if the floor of the position needs a boost, and they tilt toward preferring Jonu Smith over Ertz due to a two-way skill set and younger upside.
Friday Morning GM 8/7/2026 Part 2
Q: Brian Spar asks about how much the mesh point will be used with the new offense.
They affirm the mesh point will remain a core part of the offense, arguing it maximizes Lamar Jackson's run-game value and playmaking ability, while acknowledging the balance with more under-center and pass-focused looks depending on game flow.
