Jett Road Studios presents "Bad Elizabeth" a comedic true crime podcast hosted by friends and former “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” office mates, Gideon Evans and Kathy Egan-Taylor. The premise is as simple as it sounds - each episode explores the story of an “Elizabeth” (or any derivation of that name) who is notorious; be they a murderer, a fraudster, or just a complete a-hole. These women sp... more

This podcast is fantastic. What a brilliant way to build a show—one bad Elizabeth after another. Each episode and Elizabeth is more fascinating and entertaining than the next. The hosts are hilarious and make you want to more about people you were sure you had no interest in. Enjoy.
Sooo good! So well researched and very fluid conversations that are absolutely interesting. Thank you!!
This is such an original idea for a podcast. This is great for history lovers. The style of the show reminds me of a conversation between friends and if you’ve ever listened to The Rest is History podcast, you’ll know what I mean. I also have been enjoying the guest speakers, notably Jane Borden and her knowledge about Puritan culture. You should definitely check out this podcast!
Best podcast I’ve heard recently. Can’t wait for more.
Listened to a few episodes and enjoyed them. Am listening to the episode on Queen Elizabeth I and am gnashing my teeth. Not a really deep knowledge of history here (Mary Queen of Scotts was her cousin not her other sister as you mentioned). The hosts try to banter back and forth but it does not work at all. For any new listeners who are new to history, this will not broaden your knowledge. Why did you save the historian until the end?
Keep working on making your episodes better.

The content primarily revolves around the exploration of notorious women named Elizabeth, or variants thereof, within history and pop culture. Episodes discuss figures such as Lizzie Borden, Elizabeth Holmes, Queen Elizabeth I, and Elizabeth Bathory, usually blending historical facts with humorous commentary. The hosts treat these stories like entertaining anecdotes shared among friends, creating a relaxed atmosphere akin to a cocktail party. The comedic take on serious subjects makes the show unique, appealing to listeners who enjoy true crime with a humorous twist, and wish to engage with themes of morality and societal perceptions of 'bad' behavior.
