  • Used to like you

It’s really disheartening seeing how you haven’t spoken up on the children in Palestine and the on going genocide that they’re enduring. Especially someone who has lost their parents in such a tragic way. It’s disgusting how you had people on your podcast that are settlers in occupied Palestine. I used to love listening to your podcast, but now It’s difficult to view you as someone who cares about ALL children/humans. I’m extremely disappointed.

  • Excellent content for both parents and for child-free adults!!

I’ve been listening to Anna for about a year, and she quickly made it onto my listen-to-every-episode list. Over the past year, I’ve sent multiple episodes to my child-free friends because the content is so applicable to adults in general. Having said that, her guidance and suggestions and even just her personal musings have brought so much richness to my parenting approaches. Her content has helped me cultivate a deeper level of self-compassion, positive self-talk, and sincere self-care, which ... more

  • So grateful for this podcast.

Anna’s parenting wisdom has been helping me for the past eight years of my parenting, and for that I am so grateful. I love how real she is and how she coaches with no judgment, just compassion. I refer back to this podcast constantly for different topics, since she’s covered so much. And her guest speakers are just as inspirational as she is. One of my favorite parenting podcasts/resources for sure!

The Dopamine Crisis in Kids: Why Screen Time Advice Isn't Working for Your Child
Q: Can you summarize the five-step process and how it helps families reframe screen-time habits?
The five-step plan starts with clarifying what you want as a family, then aligning it with what the child wants, choosing small, concrete actions tied to specific times and places, talking about costs and benefits honestly, and finally curating cues to support the new habit and gradually replacing screens with meaningful activities.
The Japanese Way of Raising Calm, Caring, Capable Kids
Q: What stood out to you about parenting in Japan when you visited and compared it to the United States?
Lisa notes that Japan's emphasis on quiet public conduct, respect for others, and subtle, consistent guidance creates well-behaved children; the environment and routines reinforce these norms, making behavior more predictable without constant enforcement.
Perimenopause Explained: Symptoms, Hormones, and What Every Woman Should Know
Q: What definitions should we use for menopause and perimenopause to avoid confusion?
Menopause is one year with no periods; perimenopause is the time leading up to that transition with hormonal shifts and symptoms, which can start in the 30s or 40s. Early perimenopause features cycle changes and anxiety or insomnia, while late perimenopause involves more spaced-out periods and vasomotor symptoms as estrogen declines.
Stop Trying to Be the Strong Mom: Grief, Joy and The Power of Vulnerability
Q: Is community essential for healing during reproductive or family building challenges?
