  • One of my most cherished works of art

Nothing in the world is like the main 24 episode arc of AMV. It’s one of those rare works of art which are truly psychedelic, not in the usual trope, but in that there’s a transformation of the listeners mind that occurs when one fully grasps what the story is about. It’s also impossible to talk about without fear of ruining that precious experience for another listener. Give this story your time, and your life will be forever enhanced.

  • From discovering the show back in 2008, I was enchanted by the character of Sherwin Sleeves and his distinct, narrative voice. It became incredibly influential to my own work as a writer. His ability to birth a sense of mystery and intrigue into the normal aspects of everyday life is impeccable, and he possesses an incredible narrative emotional range. I can't recommend the series highly enough. Episode 5 is a great place to start to get a sample of what the show offers. Listen to this podcast.

I admit I skipped a lot of the episodes that were just Sean and his friend talking, but I love the Sherwin Sleeves episdes.

For new listeners, I recommend starting with The Christmas Skaters episode. I was sp... more
