My daughter has been under evaluation for OCD/anxiety, and I had difficulty believing she could possibly have OCD thanks to the pop culture portrayal. Natasha is one of the resources that has helped me understand quite a bit more, and now that I do I can absolutely see how the diagnosis fits my child. I don’t listen to podcasts regularly, but this is one I know will be a valuable resource!
Natasha, thank you for providing a lifeline for parents raising children with OCD! My daughter was diagnosed in October — you are one of the few experts I have found who provides helpful and understandable answers to such a complex disorder. My daughter developed a panic disorder in 6th grade and became severely school avoidant the beginning of 8th grade. In the last 4 years, we have seen 4 psychiatrists, 5 counselors, had 2 neuropsychological exams, tried an IOP, a residential program, almost h... more
Thank you for episode 38- it is incredibly helpful!!
Absolutely love this podcast. I only found Natasha recently, but am so grateful I did. I wasn’t even looking, but somehow scrolling on Instagram one day I saw her profile and watched .. it was like a missing puzzle piece being found! It’s like listening to a friend who understands the struggles, is going through the struggles but knows how to help you. Natasha, thank you so much for what you do. I don’t feel the despair and sadness like I did but now have hope. I cannot thank you enough ❤️
I cried. I cried with relief, grief and gratitude listening to this.
The relief: knowing we aren’t alone. Have somewhere to look. Having a community. We are just at the beginning of supporting my 8 y/o with his OCD and i’m learning so much and feeling so hopeful about steps forward.
The grief: not only am I learning about his OCD but also my own. Something I fumbled my way through alone as a child, teen and adult. The immense shame I held for such a long time is still being brought to light ... more

A practical, practitioner-led show that helps parents navigate OCD and anxiety in children and teens. Episodes consistently cover how OCD works in kids, effective at-home strategies, how to engage with therapists and treatment (especially ERP), and ways families can reduce enabling behaviors while staying emotionally connected. The host draws on two decades of clinical experience and personal parenting insight, delivering concrete steps, realistic timelines, and resources like online courses to empower parents and caregivers. A notable strength is translating complex clinical concepts into actionable guidance for families, with recurring emphasis on validation, trust, and collaborative care rather than “fixing” the child alone.
