I have been listening to as it happens since the 70’s, and it was the highlight of my radio experience when I would drive for long distances through the prairies in the 90’s. However, it doesn’t appeal to me like it used to. It seems to be more negative and less fun, and embrace a ‘woke’ perspective - all are turnoffs. I think more positive, inspirational articles and less victim oriented storylines would improve this greatly. I subscribe, but really only listen to it a few times per year now.

I was born in Montreal in 1953 and raised in the then-Anglophone suburb of Beaconsfield from 1955 through 1970. The man you interviewed tonight on AS IT HAPPENS who claims to have discovered that separatists in Quebec were being surveilled during the late sixties and early 1970’s needs to delve more deeply into the historical context for that surveillance before condemning it. more
