  • An uplifting and inspiring podcast

I first learned about Arts Educators Save the World when Erica was a guest on the Blue Sky Podcast. When they did an episode swap, I was enthralled with the interview with Jonathan Groff and his elementary school music teacher. I then listened to the latest episode with a subject near and dear to my heart.. veterans and art making. I am a retired VA social worker who discovered the healing power of writing poetry after I retired due to a devastating diagnosis. I’m excited to dive into past episo... more

  • More known names

I’ve only ever heard of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jonathan Groff. Maybe do people like Idina Menzel, Kristin Chenoweth, Ariana Grande, Football players, Emma Watson, etc.

  • Jonathan Groff and Linda Tough

Jonathan and Linda's podcast was my first on Educators; it will not be the last! I personally know both Jonathan and Linda as I am a retired educator.

So amazing to hear the influence an educator had on a young student and continues through life as an adult.

My hope is every public( since many boards and superintendents decide to go away from the arts as a financial budget cut) listens to this and all your podcasts. It really is inspirational to listen to the interaction of you all!

    Well done!... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

LIVE at the Comic Con Museum: Anjali Bhimani & Owyn P Taylor
Q: What does it mean to record in the 'volume' for performance capture, and how is that different from traditional voiceover?
The volume is a large, sensor-packed space with cameras around you where your entire performance is captured—movement, facial expressions, and acting simultaneously—to create a full-on performance for games or shows.
LIVE at the Comic Con Museum: Anjali Bhimani & Owyn P Taylor
Q: Let's start really basic. What is a voice actor? And is that the right way to call what you are doing now on top of all the other things that you do?
Voice acting is acting; you are hearing the performance even if you aren't seeing the person. Many voice actors also do motion capture, performance capture, and other forms of performance beyond just voice.
LIVE at the Comic Con Museum: Joshua Pruett & Scott Peterson
Q: Three things you wish you had made on Phineas and Ferb, real or imagined—what would they be?
Josh and Scott described a set of ambitious ideas including an 18-year-old version of the kids, Doctor Who crossovers, and expanding Haunted Mansion concepts into Phineas and Ferb worlds, illustrating their appetite for big, cross-media storytelling.
LIVE at the Comic Con Museum: Joshua Pruett & Scott Peterson
Q: Can you tell us about how you moved from pitching zombie stories to writing novels together?
The collaboration grew from recognizing that bouncing ideas off each other makes the process more dynamic; they continued to work on multiple projects, expanding from TV to novels and comics, which solidified their partnership.
LIVE at the Comic Con Museum: Joshua Pruett & Scott Peterson
Q: For those not familiar with the process, what does it mean to break an episode and how do you learn to do that?
Breaking an episode means distilling a story to its essential parts, removing fluff, ensuring a solid beginning, middle, and end, and defining a clear character arc and both A and B stories, with a focus on visual storytelling in animation.
