As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in li... more

The show has good guest stars and I love the behind-the-scenes dish, but KD sounds like she IS AJLT Charlotte and I don’t mean that as a compliment. Too fast, sometimes a bit unhinged and talking over guests, and over repetition of stories. If she could tweak some of these habits the show would be much more enjoyable.
Talks over guests. Same stories over and over. Constantly says people didn’t like AJLT bc the characters were older… blind to the fact the show was just not good.
Some things Kristin finds interesting aren’t that interesting and the naïveté seems a little put-on for a woman of this age who has been on a show concerning sex for many years (for example, ED and premature ejaculation are very different but in one episode she lumped them together, which frustrated me as a listener; and the online dating “insights” are tough to swallow- no adult single woman is this wide-eyed about a medium that’s been around a long time). And some of the things she homes in on... more
It’s such a treat to hear all the behind the scenes stories but I’m exhausted by the anger toward Big which I can only see as being about Chris Noth. I don’t need to understand Kristin’s feelings about the actor but it’s ridiculous to not get why audiences were committed to the character and the love story between Big and Carrie. Noth did a fine job with this role—it’s gaslighting to continue degrading his performance regardless of how one feels about allegations that were never proven btw
Update 10.16: are we going to continue to pretend this is a well-done podcast? Can SOMEONE tell Kristin she’s hosting a podcast, not having her own phone conversation? Slow down girl, you’re doing great, but you go WAY too fast. And this is coming from someone who talks fast on the regular; I’d have to tell myself this same direction too!!!
