I’m breaking bread with big-name friends—old and new—for a delicious meal and candid convos that can only happen over a glass of wine. We're getting out of the studio and into my favorite restaurants across Los Angeles and New York City with people like Julie Bowen, Kristen Bell, Fred Armisen, Jesse Williams, Niecy Nash-Betts, and so many more. I know, a celebrity-interview podcast, who’s doing th... more

  • Too many ad breaks

Interesting concept and many interesting guests, but far too many ads. I end up switching off. I get monetizing your podcast but feels like overkill.

  • Side Dish

Don’t love the way the two episode a week and guest are edited. If it was truly a “side dish”, it would be a completely different conversation. It feels disjointed and like it’s two episodes of the same conversation. It would be better as long episodes or the first episode is stories ABC and the side dish is story D.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Curtis Stone - on Being Taken Seriously as a Chef & Knowing When to Walk Away
Q: Did you ever feel like because of your TV persona that it's hard for people to take you seriously as a chef?
Yes, there was scrutiny and a chip on my shoulder at times, but I chose not to let ego drive me and focused on doing great cooking and meaningful restaurant work.
Side Dish: More with Simon Helberg
Q: How has fatherhood changed your perspective on work and ambition?
Fatherhood grounded me and brought perspective, making room for balance and prioritizing family while still pursuing creative opportunities.
Side Dish: More with Simon Helberg
Q: How did you react to the early uncertainty around Studio 60 and eventually getting The Big Bang Theory?
I saw the delayed communications and testing as part of the business, and the moment it finally came through with Big Bang felt like a soft landing after a lot of waiting and doubt.
Side Dish: More Jon Bernthal
Q: Are you enjoying the process of performing the 90-minute role, and how do you handle the pressure of live performance?
Jon discusses the existential challenge of staying present, fighting self-doubt, and choosing to continue despite fear, seeing each performance as a chance to grow rather than a completed victory.
Jon Bernthal – on Career ‘Lumps’ & Challenging Himself on Stage
Q: Talk to me about method acting. Are you really a method actor?
Bernthal rejects being labeled strictly as a method actor, explaining that while he may adapt a character's mindset for a scene, he avoids performing in an exaggerated, showy way and emphasizes staying human and authentic within the character's arc.
