I am a bulk, herbs, and local meats buyer at a small longstanding health food store in Connecticut . I've been a Sally Fallon devotee for 20 years, referring to my Nourishing Traditions book for methods and recipes often . SO happy to have found these two dedicated women to learn from and tune into to keep me inspired and SANE in these mightily chaotic times. I've learned TONS more !!! I began listening to this podcast one year ago and in that time I have made 100% rye sourdough bread, sauerkraut, tibicos, liver, beef and lamb heart, and so much more, all for the first time. I love how practical you both are with clear steps we can take towards a more ancestral kitchen and lifestyle. It feels so much like I have you here with me in my kitchen cheering me on- Thank you for all of the love and care you have put into this podcast!

Okay I did have grandmas and neither of these lovely ladies are old enough to be my grandma - but the way that they teach me about and inspire me to pursue an old-fashioned kitchen, home, and life feels like the kind of thing a loving grandma does. I’m constantly thankful for their wisdom and passion on all things ancestral. Every word here on the podcast and all of the interactions in the online community they’ve created fuel me on in my quest for a meaningful, beautiful life.
Loved this podcast for a while and find it continually inspiring and relevant.

A twice-monthly show that centers on eating, cooking, and living with ancestral wisdom in modern kitchens. Hosts explore traditional cooking, nourishing whole foods, sourcing from local farms, fermentation, sourdough, and the cultural and spiritual dimensions of food. Episodes frequently emphasize practical how-tos, community food systems, and turning timeless kitchen practices into achievable, everyday routines.
