Once again, Shaye’s off the rails, hyena-like laugh at everything everyone says (including herself ), distractsfrom being able to listen to Angela and Darla who are trying to have an adult conversation. Shaye’s lack of self restraint comes off as rude and disrespectful. If it’s nerves, she really needs to find a solution. Otherwise don’t have guests on the show because she just about ruins it every time.
I like listening to these women. I personally find the recent trend of “tradwife” lifestyle to be alienating, nauseating, and bitter. I’m not talking about wanting to be a good mother and wife, I’m talking about the women in this movement that use Christianity in the most fanatical way possible, taking normal gender roles to the absolute extreme and coming off as total nut jobs. This podcast is a disaster in many ways, but the title in and of itself is extremely deceptive. These women seem to suffer from extreme cases of self idolatry and in turn they are extremely off-putting. The way they’re trying to sell luxury at the same time whining about how impoverished they once were/are seems rather insincere to what I assume are their target audience.
