Jen and Noam return a day late, because one of us has emergency podcast duties now. Of course we have to start with the WHCD and the attempted assasination attempt on Trump. Everyone is fine, and nobody much seemed like they felt they were in any rea... more
Noam and Jen are not sure what is going on. We…think the war with Iran is still on? Does Trump know? Does anyone? It's all very up in the air, which is not great when you're talking about a hot war.

Jen and Noam are happy that Iran has not been ended. We are not happy about, well, much of anything else that has happened since Tuesday. Between Iran's ridiculous ceasefire asks, the failed ceasefire talk (singular), Trump being basically done with ... more
Noam and Jen return, a day late but things do happen. Or maybe they don't, which is a running theme of our coverage of the Iran war. This time, maybe Trump is going to bomb all of the infrastructure if Iran doesn't open the Strait of Hormuz. Or not. ... more

Thoughtful, refreshing, and fun
Noam: Well thought out statement that shows understanding with both sides of an issue.
Jen: TDS-induced screeching
Noam has great measured takes, regardless of politics. Jen’s “libertarian” cover is really just a lot of pretty mainstream progressive talking points, absent the standard “oppressor vs oppressed” repetition
I listen to several center-left and center-right podcasts, but Noam and Jen are probably the best at boiling down an issue and getting to the heart of a news item. This podcast has become one of my absolute go-to’s for reasonable political commentary. Even though I’d love there to be a higher frequency, it’s probably a good thing that we only get one per week, since it gives both of them time to think about and digest an issue before talking about it. Thanks for your work, guys!
Can’t listen anymore. Jen not only sounds like a person who lives on social media, but one of the least intelligent people who lives entirely online.
