  • So helpful!

I discovered this podcast around 5 months ago & it has been so helpful! My 12 y/o got her ADHD diagnosis last year & myself (47 y/o woman) got mine recently. The reassurance, support & knowledge this podcast gives has been amazing. I feel very validated at times. Claire interviews so well & asks great questions. A wonderful show!

  • Highly recommend!

What an incredible podcast, so thoughtfully put together. With very limited knowledge of adhd I was at a lost of where to start to get informed, properly. This podcast has been a complete game changer, so informative with excellent speakers both specialists and real lived experience. I have so enjoyed listening to it from the beginning and learnt such an incredible amount already. Claire is an excellent interviewer and really knows her stuff, speaking and interviewing with compassion, openness a... more

  • So helpful. Thank you

I’ve just listened to your episode about adhd in girls. I suspect my daughter has it, and hearing this has made me decide it’s time to get on the waiting list for a referral. It’s been so informative and helpful and has made me wonder if I have adhd too. Thank you so much. I’ll be listening to more of your episodes and have already shared the one I’ve listened to with friends of mine who also suspect their girls have adhd.

  • Great find

What a fantastic podcast which I stumbled upon having listened to Claire on another podcast. We’re at the start of our journey to ascertain if our son has ADHD, autism or dyspraxia or a combination of these. Really useful advice from a variety of experts. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Dean Quinton - My ADHD Story
Q: What led you to seek a diagnosis for ADHD and how did it feel to finally have it?
Dean describes a growing realization during his adulthood—spurred by his work with children and a sense that things didn't click into place—that he might be different in a way that ADHD could explain. The diagnosis brought clarity and a new lens for understanding his life, thoughts, and behaviors.
ADHD & Hypermobility: The Body–Brain Link
Q: Thank you for joining us today. So when we talk about hypermobility, what is it we're actually describing beyond being very flexible?
Hypermobility is a cue to underlying connective tissue differences throughout the body, not just joint laxity. It can affect the gut, blood vessels, lungs, skin, and autonomic regulation, which in turn can influence energy, fatigue, dizziness, and how a child interacts with school and daily activities.
Susie Verrill - My Parenting Story
Q: What final piece of advice would you like to leave parents listening to help them feel less alone on this journey?
A formal diagnosis doesn't define the child; embrace the knowledge to better support them, talk openly to reduce isolation, and trust that with understanding and flexibility, things can improve as you learn what works for your family.
ADHD Advocacy in School
Q: What are the biggest barriers to children thriving in a school environment?
Kate outlines that rigid curricula, large class sizes, lack of staff to provide individualized support, and the emphasis on uniform coping strategies rather than thriving create barriers. She emphasizes that neurodivergent brains need flexible teaching methods, more movement and regulation supports, and access to creative learning opportunities beyond a one-size-fits-all framework.
ADHD Parental Burnout
Q: What final message would you like to leave parents listening to help them feel less alone on this ADHD journey?
Acknowledge that seeking support is a strength, stay connected with a supportive community, and recognize that burnout is common but manageable with practical steps, therapy, and open conversations about needs and boundaries.
