I had never watched Firefly, but started to so I could follow this podcast. Like Phil, I am not big on the blend of westerns and sci-fi. And after watching ep 1, I still wasn’t. However, after getting the in depth backstory on the show, the issues with Fox on how they released it and in what order, and taking a 7 year vision down to less than 1 season, I now have a better understanding of the show.
