  • Great Bible Study Podcast - Highly Recommend

My wife suggested we check out Calvary Church in Colorado as she had heard Pastor Ed speak at a couple of Sunday meetings that I didn’t attend (I had fallen away from church in general for many years). After listening to my wife and attending every week for months, I can speak to his style of teaching as one that really speaks to me. His teachings are very thorough and biblical. They have made a definite positive impact on my life. This podcast supplements his other teachings I haven’t exper... more

  • Biblical

Just discovered Ed by an internet search of Revelations and read an article he wrote. I listened to his most recent podcast and was fed spiritually, so decided to go to the beginning. So far, it is clear, concise, and biblical. Praise the Lord.

  • Long time

I have listened to Ed for the past 20 years. He, among others, was a part of me accepting Christ and my wife and I went to church there before they were meeting in the school. I live far away now, but I love the faithful teaching of Ed and the other brothers at Calvary Aurora. You will hear the hard truth soaked in grace at that church. No excuses for sin, just turning our hearts towards Jesus every day.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#4712 - A New Person in Jesus - 2 Corinthians 5, Part 2
Q: Would you leave them with some encouraging words?
I can, Larry, because this is part of my testimony. I lived many years of my life in a rebellious attitude toward God, in a disobedient attitude toward God.
#4710 - Absent from the Body Present with the Lord - 2 Corinthians 5, Part 2
Q: What happens to the believer when they die?
Believers immediately enter the presence of the Lord after death, without experiencing purgatory or soul sleep, and this truth offers great encouragement.
#4709 - Looking through the Lens of Eternity - 2 Corinthians 4, Part 1
Q: What would be a good way to express our appreciation to them while being careful to give credit where credit is due, to the Lord?
Start by expressing appreciation, as this will go a long way. Reach out to someone today, send a text, or write a card to thank them for their encouragement, while always giving God the glory.
#4707 - Glory to God: God’s Work in Our Lives - 2 Corinthians 3, Part 2
Q: What does that lead to?
It leads to frustration, legalism, and failure when we rely on our resources.
#4705 - Unforgiveness Hurts - 2 Corinthians 2, Part 1
Q: What would you like to say to someone struggling to forgive?
I would say it's normal; forgiveness is supernatural, a work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. When we understand what God has done for us, our hearts soften toward those who have offended us, and we choose to forgive.
